Brushing my teeth with a strange habit

by Georgie
(Norwich, UK)

I can't get out of this strange habit, but everytime I brush my teeth I have to count to 120 before I can spit! I don't know why I do this, and it really annoys me, and I can't get out of the habit. It's almost like a superstition to me now - very annoying!

My strange habit is I collect Keyboards

I just cant stop buying keyboards, why is that?.. I like thin ones, ones that glow in the dark, ones that have a touchpad built in, gaming ones, and regular not very good ones... I cant stop buying keyboards!!

That is a very wierd and odd habit but quite an amusing pastime! I'm sure our readers would love to know how many you've got! Do you actually do anything with them and how long has the habit been going on for?

People always think of habits as bad things, but not all habits need to be broken. This strange habit sounds like quite a fun one to have, although it may cost you a bit. We sit in front of keyboards all day, so to actually see some different sorts must keep the daily chore of computer work alive - if you use them! Maybe they get hidden away in a cupboard?

I think I would like the glow in the dark one, sounds great. I wouldn't have thought of this as a habit, but it obviously is!

Strange habit with Tongue and teeth and ears!

by Nicki
(London, UK)

I have a strange habit that I just can't help. When ever anyone mentions chalk, or polystyrene, I have to put my tongue up to the top of my mouth and push it hard against the back of my teeth. I hate the thought of either of those things and this seems to help!

I also can't stand it when anyone talks about eyes or veins. Yuck. I just have to put my fingers in my ears and hum to myself! Is that a strange habit?

3 Different And Strange Habits.

by Josephine
(England)

I have quite a few strange habits, but these three are probably the most annoying habits both to myself and others:

1) When I eat, I have to have my left arm behind my back. Don't get my wrong, I know how to use a knife and fork and I will do so if it's needed. But if I'm eating something that just requires a fork I'll tuck my left forearm behind my back, if I don't do this habit I feel somewhat queasy and anxious. I noticed this one is a fairly new habit that started about a week ago.

2) My nightly routine. After getting into my PJ's I get into bed and spend the next half hour rearranging my pillows and quilt into the correct position. I can't sleep if there's something in the wrong place. I have to have one pillow (On a certain side) under my head, another pillow under my left arm and my quilt has to be just at the base of my neck. Also, my lamp on my bedside table has to be facing a certain way otherwise I wont be able to sleep! I wonder how my parents live with me! XD

3) I always have to look spotless and there's certain things I wont leave the house without. I have to have a hairclip on the right face of my head, and I can't leave the house without a brooch on my left lapel. Last but not least, I'm so fussy about the length of my T-Shirts. The shirt may look amazing, but if the bottoms higher than Mid-Hip I won't wear it. If I do I feel like the whole world is staring at me.
