Hi In this issue I'll be showing you how you can grasp goal setting and really use it to achieve what you want. Once the summer holidays are over, the Olympics have finished and you are well and truly back to work, you'll need to kick start your apathy back into action. Motivation may be sluggish, but with the correct goal setting techniques, inspirational quotes and Youtube video of the month, you'll be ahead of the game. AUGUST 2012 ISSUE:

Although it was published in 1984, time has taken nothing away from the information contained therein. Whether you need something for yourself personally, or you are looking for more on goal setting as an employer or employee, this book fulfills all those needs. Great chapters such as "implementing goal setting" or "why does goal setting work", "goal setting and stress". Locke and Latham go to town explaining goal settting in a really easy to understand way with lots of examples of tried and tested techniques. This book is written for those readers desiring more information on goal setting other than what can be found on the internet, and for those who are really serious about making their goals work. ARTICLE: Do you question why goal setting is so important? Do you yearn to "get it right" once and for all? How many times do you need to be told that setting goals will put you on the road to success? Raise your game and stop sidestepping the goal setting issuee, it's time to really find out why goal setting is important. INTERESTING STORY OF THE MONTH: With the Olympics now underway, all the goals that have been set by the athletes will finally come to fruition. One of the simple goals athletes set is "to come home with a medal". The difficulty, however, is achieving the goal and sticking the the path set in order to reach that destination. Changing your goal plan is often part of a working strategy, and it takes hard work and dedication to set your sights on something you really want to achieve in life. This is what 23 year old Claire Donahue had to do before the Olympics started, she had to alter her goals.
